Stuart is an ACA qualified accountant who has been with Capricorn since June 2013. After studying Mathematics at Imperial College of Science & Technology, Stuart joined Brooks & Partners, a small firm of Chartered Accountants, where he trained and qualified. Stuart then spent 5 years at KPMG, after which he joined ING Baring Futures & Options (UK) Limited – a wholly owned subsidiary of ING Groep. He joined as Financial Controller and became Finance Director in 1995. He stayed at ING for 9 years. After this Stuart spent 5 years at Dawnay Day Group, as the Group Finance Director. It is a privately-owned property and financial services group comprising 10 diverse stand-alone businesses, including 4 regulated concerns, and over 100 property investment companies. Stuart moved on from this role to spend 4 years as Group Finance Director at the financial services, broking and property investments group Bircroft Property Finance Limited. From this role Stuart joined Capricorn Capital Partners UK Limited, initially as a consultant, before joining the Private Equity team, specialising in Regulatory, HR and Tax Structuring matters across the wider Capricorn Group.
